After you receive care in the Emergency Department, you will receive more than one bill for your care:

Understanding Your Emergency Department Bills

The emergency department Facility Bill is for services rendered by the hospital, this would include use of the nursing services, supplies, equipment, laboratory, radiology services and any other professional services that are provided by the hospital.

The Physician Bill is for services rendered by the Emergency Physicians, Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioners – they are responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, referral and/or discharge of all patients receiving care in the Emergency Department.
